Active Life Centre owner
I will now let Peter introduce himself to you.....
My name is Peter Hanna and I am delighted to be joining the Active Life
Centre. I am a Massage Therapy graduate from Ontario, and just recently
moved here to Alberta.
Before my move, I had researched different clinics in St. Albert and around
the Edmonton area. It didn’t take me long before hearing about the excellent
reputation of Active Life Centre. I can say with confidence, joining a
highly established community of fellow professional therapists was one of
the best decisions I have made since moving here.
I have an extensive background in healthcare and originally began my career
as a Bachelor of Science graduate in Pharmaceutical Sciences. My experience
working in clinical settings within pharmacies and healthcare clinics have
helped me efficiently manage through patient concerns. I have effectively
worked alongside patients and other healthcare professionals and I
respectfully support the decisions of informed patients.
Patient care and recovery have always been the heart of my professional
role; and having the opportunity of practicing Massage Therapy in clinics,
at retirement homes, and at gyms and recreational centres have given me the
experience and confidence to help manage diverse conditions.
Although my original experiences in healthcare have been more inclined
towards allopathy, also known as modern medicine, I have experienced
firsthand the many advantages of a more holistic approach to health, such as
massage therapy.
Massage Therapy and other recognized alternative therapies offer such a
multifaceted and well-rounded course that have survived the test of time, as
most have been rooted on ancient clinical methods. Massage Therapy offers a
widely accepted and universally recognized approach to health that has
profound beneficial outcomes on one’s psychological, physiological, and
spiritual wellness.
My training in Massage Therapy includes Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue
Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Trigger-Point Therapy, Stretching, Myofascial
Techniques and Hydro-therapy.
Having the opportunity to practice in gyms and recreational centres has
awarded me an experience and appreciation for the high demands required of
an athlete’s body. This appreciation also extends to the wide benefits of
Sport Massage in maintaining and improving maximum performance and physical
conditioning to promote recovery.
Finally, I have been welcomed by such a great and professional team at the
Active Life Centre and I am confident your decision to improve the overall
health and well-being of you and your family will be experienced here at our
clinic.
I look forward to meeting you and I encourage you to book your first session
with me in the near future!
Peter
