CERTIFIED SPORT MASSAGE THERAPIST

The Massage Therapy profession has provided me with so many wonderful opportunities such as working with professional athletes (Oilers, Eskimos, and Drillers), 8 Olympic Games, 2 Pan Am Games, Commonwealth Games and Francophone Games, a variety of World Championships and numerous local athletic events. I am presently the main Massage Therapist for the Canadian Women’s Soccer Team and often work with other elite athletes. All of these amazing experiences have prepared me to administer therapy for the vast array of conditions that I see daily at our clinic. I enjoy every challenge when working with all types of clients, all levels of athletes as well as overuse injuries or post-surgical conditions.

I am a proud member of the MTAA and the CSMTA and I am presently one of fewer than 30 Certified Sport Massage Therapists in Canada. I am a Sport Massage Instructor and I am presently in the process of developing the Canadian standard of education in Sport Massage Therapy.

KERRI WAGENSVELD

REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST IN 2014
GRADUATE OF MH VICARS SCHOOL OF MASSAGE THERAPY

Working with Kip and the staff at the Active Life Centre, and with other therapists at various sporting events, has been a fantastic journey. The privilege to serve right here in the clinic, or on-site at athletic events, has been a great way for me to learn about the injuries we all face within sports or in our everyday lives. One of my objectives is to provide my clients with the “tools” that they can use at home which will give them the effective strategies to follow for regular maintenance or injury recovery.

Whether you are a regular guest at our clinic or perhaps new to Massage Therapy, I hope to make your experience a great one. If I get the opportunity to work with you, I sincerely thank you in advance!!

ELENA FURSOVA

REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST
MASSAGE THERAPY COLLEGE of MANITOBA

I am originally from Moscow where I trained as a dancer. This created a keen interest for me as a health facilitator and I graduated with honors from the University of Physical Culture in Moscow and trained in Yoga Therapy and Thai Massage Therapy. I moved with my family to Winnipeg in 2013, and because of my bodywork training and experience in Russia, I knew exactly what I wanted to focus on in my work life. I received my massage training at the 2200 hour Massage Therapy College of Manitoba. My journey to this point has transformed my view of the value of touch, and it has become my passion to facilitate my clients with a desire to bring their body and mind into balance.
